Shiksha Shikhar Samman -2023 was conferred on Dr Birbal Jha in recognition of his extraordinary work in the field of English Skills training, writing books, promotion of Indian culture and social service. This conferment of the award was held on the occasion of the Saraswati Puja Mahotsav in the national capital, coinciding with Republic Day.

Dr Birbal Jha has not only promoted literature by writing dozens of books but has also worked to improve the lives of millions of Indian youth across the country, more particularly those coming from the lower strata of society. He has set a benchmark for imparting English skills training, soft skills training, employability skills enhancement, and career–orientation programmes for the sake of today’s youth under the banner of British Lingua, an institute of international repute for communication skills. Given this, the Council on Maithil Youth honoured Dr Birbal Jha with Shiksha Shikhar Samman this year.

Apart from cultural programs, poetic symposiums, free medical consultancy, pathological tests, free eye tests etc were held on this gala occasion. Along with this, a spiritual ritual such as Yagya for the welfare of the world was also performed on the day. Giving this information, Murari Mohan Jha, director of Maithil Youth Council, said that his social organization endeavours to honour a personality like Dr Birbal Jha, who tirelessly works to keep Indian culture intact, awaken social consciousness and spread it all across.

It is noteworthy that before this Dr Birbal Jha has been honoured with many other awards. Prominently among these include the National Education Excellence Award – 2010, the Kriti Purush Award – 2011, Person of the Year – 2014, the Star of Asia Award – 2016, the Great Personality of India Award- 2017, Bihar Achiever’s Award – 2017, the Youngest Living Legend of Mithila Award- 2017, Paagman Award, Global Skills Trainer Award- 2022, Mithila Vibhuti-2022, Kavi Kokil Vidyapati Award-2022 etc.
